Lisa asks…Who is the Hottest Political Icon, Democratic activists Anna Chapman or the Tea Party sympathizer Sarah Palin? We all know Politics is all about style not substance.Political News Writer answers:Spies are always sexier. I don’t know how Obummer feels about his special escort service getting busted. You know Michelle had something to do with it, LOL.Donald asks…what do you think about Aung San Su Kyi’s fight to redeem her party in Myanmar?Democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi appealed to Burma’s Supreme Court Thursday, the latest in a string of legal wranglings over the dissolution of her political party before last year’s elections.
The Nobel Peace Prize winner’s National League for Democracy (NLD) was disbanded for boycotting the military-ruled country’s first election in 20 years in response to rules that seemed designed to bar her from taking part.
Leaders in oppressed societies are fighting for the breath of freedom and democratic governance! But great democratic countries do not realize the value of preserving the democratic values and submit to corrupt power centres to rule them! This is what came to my mind on seeing the news!
OK, what are your thoughts?Political News Writer answers:Excellent. The amount of sacrifice given by her for her country is unimaginable and is commendable. She has given her life for her country with great determination, courage, fortitude.
That too single handed and with the staunch supporters. The great beauty of her strategy is that she has never advocated violence but peaceful measures to convince her oppressors.
Her submissive cool nature has weakened the oppressors. And that is the greatest victory.Helen asks…Now that Barry Goldwater and Tip O’Neil have both passed away should the two parties be redefined or dissolved?Since the Obamacrat party won the last election, defeating both the liberals and the GOP… and borrow & spend Bush did not know the definition conservative…. It seems like it’s time to click the refresh icon and consolidate politics back into 2 parties that can fight for ambiguous political nuances.Political News Writer answers:I think both parties need dissolving and perhaps the liberal and conservative parties formed. I have always thought that, as many a conservative democrat voted with conservative republicans more than with their own liberal party. Consider too, that under today’s standards Kennedy would be a conservative asking for people to do for the country rather than sponge off the government teatNancy asks…Is it fair on the part of Gandhi scions to cheer a particular team?Political leaders cannot be seen as biased. Recently, gandhi scion went to watch an IPL match. There is no harm in it. But what did not seem right that they were seen with a particular team owner throughout the match. Now political leaders should be unbiased. All teams participating in IPL, are part of our nations. If theseleaders were invited to attend a match by a team owner, they should have made it a point to be neutral and cheer for both the teams.
Previously, also these scions single out this individual to watch his movies of this individual on special screening. This gives message to everybody in the country that this individual has backing of the political party who holds supreme power. Hence, nobody dares to touch him and he gets away everything he does from the media and govt. departments. A case for example is violations of land law and regulations in his bunglow.
Another example is to declare him a National Icon by a minister, which he is certainly not.Political News Writer answers:Being a descendant of Gandhi doesn’t mean that one is obligated to put aside all preferences and desires. These are only human beings, like anyone else. They have friends, they have business associates, they have preferred football sides and cricket clubs. Who are we to demand otherwise from them? Shall we insist that they eat both chocolate and vanilla ice cream after dinner as well?Powered by Yahoo! Answers
